Do you have a go-to place where you like to shop for your clothes? For me, it’s Amazon, especially during the last two years. I’ve been able to find some great bargains. Recently, I skeptically bought a pair of boots. I prefer trying shoes on as you never know how they are going to run. I tend to return to the brands that I know work for me, but I was surprisingly pleased.

I’ve been wanting a pair of red boots, but I’m very picky about how they fit and look. While looking at different styles on Amazon’s site, I found these boots with the side zipper for $42.99. Now that is my kind of deal! 

It took me less than one minute to buy the boots, another minute for them to arrive at my doorstep. I wasn’t expecting much because of their low price point but when I tried them on they fit like a glove! 

I’m very happy with this purchase and can’t wait to wear these red suede boots with leggings or skinny jeans. What was even better was that I received them just in time for Christmas. They are sure to make another appearance for Valentine’s Day. 

They come in several colors and patterns and although not leather, they are definitely worth the $42.99 I paid.

Since moving to Texas, I found myself wearing more dresses than ever in my life. Perhaps it’s the weather…dresses are cooler in the summer heat and no real need to wear tights even in the winter here in Austin.

The blue velvet dress hugs curves in all the right places, it’s sure to turn heads. I paired it with my favorite silver heels and some earring bling.

Plaid Shacket

I’ve been on the hunt for a plaid shacket and since I didn’t want to spend too much, this is perfect. 

It comes in 15 different colors and you can wear it buttoned up as a shirt or open with leggings and boots. It’s warm enough for winter but not so bulky that it won’t work during those cool spring days. 

My version is a pale pink, cream, black and brown. I’ve paired it with black leggings and black lug sole boots. It has just right for Austin, Texas winter and I’m loving the silver buttons.

These leggings accentuate the booty like nothing you’ve ever experienced. They are high-waisted, so perfect for controlling the muffin top, menopause middle, and who am I kidding, wine and cheese belly. 

They are also squat-proof, so you can wear them to the gym and not have to worry about anyone seeing your panties. They are moisture-wicking, so you can run a quick errand or two after the gym and not feel too gross. 

The best part is they come in a variety of colors and at only $14.99 they are a total steal. 

I’m seriously thinking of buying another pair in red because I love them so much.

Amazon Prime and Smile

Prime isn’t cheap at $119 annually, but the savings come first in shipping costs. In fact, after mailing out Christmas presents in previous years, I realized the shipping costs were more than the gift. Now, I order presents from Amazon and have them shipped directly to the recipient. They offer gift wrapping which comes at an additional cost, but by the time you buy wrapping paper and ribbon, etc., you’ve saved yourself the headache of wrapping. 

Second, you save yourself a ton of time. Perhaps you enjoy the whole process of driving to the mall, going in and out of stores looking for a specific gift, or looking for a gift to inspire you. 

Right before Christmas, I got sick, so my shopping plans didn’t go exactly as planned. I hopped on Amazon and found exactly what I was looking for for everyone on my shopping list. 

You can search for gifts by gender, occasion, and interest. Is your man a craft beer aficionado? A beer dispenser or perhaps a personalized growler might be the gift to make him for his birthday. Seriously, you can find almost everything on Amazon. 

Something I love about Amazon is its giving-back program. It is called Amazon Smile. All you need to do is log onto Amazon Smile using your normal login credentials. Once there, you simply select a nonprofit or your favorite and Amazon makes a donation based on your purchases. It doesn’t cost you anything extra and you’re giving back. 

Amazon has been my go-to for clothing because they have a little bit of everything as well as some great prices (especially if you’re an Amazon Prime member). I also appreciate their easy-to-use app and how it remembers your shopping history.

The product reviews are a great way to get an idea of what to expect. Customers can post photos so you can see how the product looks on a real person.
