How about a dress?

Green dress – This is the perfect outfit if you’re going out and want to look festive without trying too hard. A green dress will make you stand out in all those Instagram photos! You can wear it with heels or flats depending on how fancy your party is going. If it’s a more casual event then stick to something simple like  sneakers or ballet flats.

Most green in my closet is of the olive tone, but I couldn’t resist this Kelly green dress from Target.

It is from a couple of seasons ago, but don’t despair. This floral dress from Amazon is a very similar style. If the neckline seems too daring, then layer a camisole underneath. A wrap style dress is figure flattering no matter your size or shape.

Yes, another option is this v-neck swing dress which is reminiscent of the 40s style. It is another wrap dress and accentuates the waist just right.

And just for a little more inspiration, two more dresses in green from my closet. The first is an animal print I picked up on clearance from Francesca’s. And the second is a shirt dress from Lucky Brand. It works great with tall boots, but would also work with booties, or an open-toe shoe.

Pants for St. Patty’s Day

If you’re not feeling a dress or skirt then try wearing some green pants! You can go with a standard pair of green jeans, or if you want to get really festive then try some green cargo pants. Again, my go-to green is olive and these cargo pants are cute enough to go casual or can be paired with some heels for a dressier combo.

If casual is your goal, these baggy joggers will fit the bill. For your Patty’s Day celebration, pair it with a sweatshirt or graphic tee.

Add Green Up Top

If you’re looking for something that’s more casual than a dress or skirt then go with a sweatshirt, t-shirt or sweater in the green color scheme (but don’t forget about accessories!).

This oversized, off-the-shoulder sweatshirt will go great with a pair of jeans for some St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans.

Who doesn’t love a graphic t-shirt? So many options and these are just a few. Just add some glitter and the luck will be all yours.  This shiny shamrock tee comes in sizes XS to 2XL.

Feeling lucky? This simple tee is another easy option to avoid being pinched on St. Patty’s Day.

If March isn’t warm enough for short-sleeves, this long-sleeve version might work for some green beverage drinking on the most Irish of holidays.

Accessories Instead

If you don’t want to go all out on St. Patrick’s Day but still want some color in your outfit then try adding some green accessories! You can get these from any store that sells necklaces and earrings for women, such as Forever21 or Claire’s Boutique.

A simple green necklace or earrings will add just the right amount of Irish flair to your outfit. Or how about a plaid fedora?

Add some whimsy to your celebrations by wearing a little hair accessory and sunglasses.

Earrings are an easy way to add a bit of green to the day. This tassel version are just right for some fun and frivolity.

You can’t go wrong by adding some green to your wardrobe, whether it’s just a little bit or if you’re going all out this St. Patty’s Day!  Show off that Irish pride and above all else, have fun!

What are your favorite green accessories for the holiday? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂
